You are about to follow the journey of 2 Happy Wanderers ready to explore the world around them and experience it in all its wonder and amazement.
My mum (Helen) and myself (Kellie) are preparing for a 7 week holiday to Europe and the UK, and are so excited at what we are about to encounter. We head off on this whirlwind trip on the 31st March 2012. The countdown to departure is rolling!!
Neither of us have actually been to Europe, so the trip there will be an experience in itself. Footage we have seen on TV and mags we have read are all we have as a basis for what to expect, so we are going in blind but so excited to experience a little bit of everything.
We are headed for 8 countries in 47 days - our Europe tour includes France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Amsterdam; then 3 weeks in total for the UK. Neither of us know what to expect in all of these destinations, so a world of amazement awaits us both.
We both have our luggage out and have begun putting little bit and pieces into it; mine currently has the all important documents and the neck cushion thingy for the buses/planes, and I am trying to sort my wardrobe into 3 piles - taking - maybe taking - and will decide at last minute if taking. Im not sure why it needs to be that difficult, but I have heard its a female thing...apparently. Mum has begun putting old photos in to show the relo's in UK and some toiletries and gorgeous things, so we are well on the way to having over-packed and heavy luggage. Mum has a tonne of handbags to go through and decide which one's to take as yet, so lucky we have 5 weeks to go!
